A Bit Found
Moving, in real life, after 14 years in the same house has led to some interesting mental lapses. I know / knew where something was in the old house, but have no idea where it is here. Anyway I found this bit of writing in a book, that was in a box that I had just started going through. Without further ado …
Ewdina had just discovered a stone wall. It was perhaps 20 feet high and went in either direction as far as she could see, in a forest. She looked to her left down the wall, then turned and started walking in the other direction. She had been walking for about two hours through the forest before being stopped by this wall. She raised her left hand every once and a while, to touch the stones in the wall hoping she might find a loss one that may give her a way to get on the other side of this mysterious barrier. While looking at the wall, she turned quickly to see a tightly tangled clump of trees, vines and underbrush blocking her way. They were growing so close to the wall that she had to walk a wide way around this obstruction.

Nightfall
Certitude descended upon the Travelers as they watched Ewdina ride out of view. Turning around, the Three joined their hands together and disappeared.
Ewdina turned, just in time to see a minute flash of light on the ridge opposite her. Knowing that the Travelers had returned to their own plane of existence. She now knew she would have some time to get her package back to Danita, queen of the river-people.

Smoking Clouds – chapter 1
The stench of rotting food permeated her nostrils as she regained consciousness. Hiding out in the refuse from the food stalls was not an every day occurrence for Ewdina, but the package she concealed must make it to its true owner. She looked every part the beggar as she hid and waited. Ewdina tried to avoid being too conspicuous, but that was of no avail in a place where travellers where rarely seen.
Ewdina heard the buzzing, and then watched the scene unfold in front of her. Space was opening up as if being cut open by a knife. White light filled the new space as a wooden shed gradually appeared where the wall was cut open. She lay perfectly still, trying to blend in with her surroundings.
The shed door slowly opened and a figure dressed in black stepped out. He lifted his hat and looked up and down the alley. Ewdina saw his blazing blue eyes, piercing her mind as he looked quickly in her direction. His attention was diverted as a person turned down the alley with a garbage cart. Turning her attention quickly from the person with the cart back to the stranger in black, she realized he had disappeared.
